昨年末にティーザーだけ出してしばらく音沙汰のなかった謎のスーパーグループ、Umbilicus がBlood Blast Distributionとの契約を発表しました。2022年5月27日にデビュー曲「Hello Future」をリリースしています。

ドラムにPaul Mazurkiewicz (Cannibal Corpse)、ギターにTaylor Nordberg (Deicide, Inhuman Condition)、ベースにVernon Blake (Anarchus) 、そしてボーカルにBrian Stephenson (Fore, Old James) を有するUmbilicusは、60年代と70年代のロックへのストレートな愛情を表現したロックバンド。ブルータルなデスメタルを鳴らす彼らの全く異なる音楽に興味が沸きますね。

Umbilicus features Paul Mazurkiewicz (Cannibal Corpse) on drums, Taylor Nordberg (Inhuman Condition, The Absence, FORE) on guitar, Vernon Blake (Anarchus, Napalm Death – live) on bass, and Brian Stephenson (FORE, Old James) on vocals.

The band was formed in July of 2020 and inspired by their collective love of late 60s, 70s, and early 80s rock bands.

The group is finishing up their debut album, with more details to be released soon.
