Saviour : オーストラリア・パースを拠点に活動するメロディック・ハードコア・バンド、Saviour がニューアルバム『Shine & Fade』をGrayscale Recordsからリリースしました。
Dreamboundから公開している先行シングル/ミュージックビデオ「Tidal Wave」では、プログレッシヴ・メタルコアのフレーバーを交えながら、深みのあるメロディック・ハードコア/メタルコアを鳴らし、大きな注目を集めた。男女ツイン・ボーカルというスタイルは、同国のMake Them Sufferを彷彿とさせるが、Make Them Sufferにはないメロディック・ハードコアのエレメンツにSaviourの良さがある。
昨年公開された「Reshape Me」はアルバムのキートラックと言えるだろう。Saviourのサウンドとは何かを考えた時、この曲が代表的なものだと言える。聴き込むほどに染み渡る、素晴らしい作品だ。
