This line sums up what THE MINORITY stands for. We are creating the music we love, and singing about issues we talk about over drinks late at night or over coffee in the morning. We try not to be that silent majority we all loathe.

“The legendary SNFU are one of the world’s greatest punk rock bands. When we were kids, some of the first punk shows we attended were SNFU shows. You could always expect a wildly energetic and uniquely entertaining performance.
“On July 16th 2020 we were saddened to hear that SNFU frontman, Kendall Chinn, aka Mr. Chi Pig, had passed away. In honour of Mr. Chi Pig and SNFU’s undeniable contributions to the punk scene worldwide, we pay tribute to their legacy with our rendition of ‘Reality Is a Ride on the Bus’.
“The song is available for purchase on Bandcamp with 100% of the proceeds being donated to Ray-Cam Co-operative Centre, which offers programs low cost to youth, families and seniors who live in the area (the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, one of Canada’s poorest postal codes). Programs are geared towards meeting the challenges of the community, including food security, safety and the educational, social and recreational needs of members.
“RIP Mr. Chi Pig.
“Thanks to Tim Creviston, Dave Grabowsk , Jordan Voth for killing this as we recording remotely across the country.”

“I picture the protagonist as some beautiful, fantastical, strange and surreal sea creature that has come to live among us, but wants to go home. I feel like the voice of this song is one that has done its best to make a place to belong, but knows it doesn’t, can’t or won’t, and is trying to say a heartfelt, honest goodbye,” explains vocalist Trenton Woodley. “Of course, that’s not to say there’s not a piece of me buried in that voice. I don’t think you get to come this far in life without wondering if you really belong to this particular path you’ve found yourself on, if there’s not somewhere else or someone else you’re meant to be. The harder the times, the bigger the question becomes in your mind. When it comes down to it, it’s a song about closing doors and opening new ones.”
