「Can We Watch Something Happy?」は、バンドの2025年のSumerian Records移籍後に発表された一連のシングルの4作目となる楽曲である。このトラックは、ボーカルのPiper Ferrariの幼少期の視点から書かれており、侵入的な思考、強迫的な祈り、そして自身の思考を罪とみなすことから生じる深い罪悪感というテーマを描いていると説明されている。Ferrariは、幼い頃に宗教的背景のもとで重度の強迫性障害（OCD）と向き合っていた経験を明かし、「祈り、思考に屈してしまい、再び祈るというサイクル」が歌詞の根底になっていると述べている。
本作のリリースは、2025年にSumerian Recordsと契約後に発表された「Nothing Is Original」「This Band Has Led Me to Places I Wouldn’t Go with a Gun」「Fire In The Night Sky Forever」に続くものであり、バンドの2026年の活動につながる作品となっている。

Their 2022 debut EP Discount Fireworks marked them as a standout in the Las Vegas underground. After spending much of 2023 & 2024 showcasing their new material live, the band’s reputation for emotionally resonant, tightly wound songs that leave nothing on the table was further cemented. The band also spent a considerable amount of time on the road with bands like Dying Wish, Boundaries, Militare Gun, Foreign Hands, Pool Kids and one off shows with Touché Amoré, Botch, Better Lovers and more.
