ヘヴィメタルバンド”Black Label Society”は、新作スタジオアルバム『Engines Of Demolition』を2026年3月27日にリリースすると発表した。これはMNRK Heavyからのリリースとなる。
『Engines Of Demolition』には、「Name In Blood」「Gatherer Of Souls」「The Hand Of Tomorrows Grave」「Better Days & Wiser Times」「Broken And Blind」「The Gallows」「Above & Below」「Back To Me」「Lord Humungus」「Pedal To The Floor」「Broken Pieces」「The Stranger」「Ozzy’s Song」「Name In Blood (Unblackened)」「Lord Humungus (Unblackened)」の15曲が収録される予定である。
「Secret History of the Mongols」は、2026年1月9日にリリースされるデビューアルバム『Human Herds』の収録曲として発表される。アルバムは Napalm Records から発売される予定であり、UUHAI は同日からヨーロッパツアーを行う予定である。ツアーは、Nanowar Of Steel ほか複数のアクトとの共演で、オランダ・ティルブルフの公演を皮切りに複数都市を巡るスケジュールとなっている。

Nate Garrett (ネイト・ギャレット)率いるドゥーム・メタル・バンド、Spirit Adriftが、5枚目のスタジオ・アルバム『Ghost At The Gallows』を2023年8月18日にCentury Media Recordsからリリースしました。この新作のリリース記念して、「Hanged Man’s Revenge」のミュージック・ビデオが公開されている。このビデオは、Bad WolvesやAsking Alexandriaなどとの仕事で知られるWombat Fireが監督を務めた。

ex GATECREEPER/ ex TAKE OVER AND DESTROYのNate GarrettによるUSアリゾナのヘヴィ・メタル・バンドの23年発表の5枚目のフル・アルバム。
前作『20 CENTURIES GONE』が新曲とカバーで構成された企画アルバムだったので、純粋な新作としては『ENLIGHTENED IN ETERNITY』以来、約3年振り。初期のエピック・ドゥーム風味はかなり希薄になり、漢気漂う哀愁のメロディを武器としたサザン風味の土臭さを纏ったサウンドへと進化。メタリックな質感こそ強く残すものの、持ち前のサイケな空気感もあり、近年のヴィンテージ系ハードロックのファンにもアピールする仕上がり。
ドイツ出身のヘヴィーメタル・バンド、Accept が 2022年8月12日から2022年8月14日にベルギー・コルトレイクで行われた「Alcatraz Hard Rock & Metal Festival 2022」に出演した際のフルセット・ライブ映像を公開しました。
この動画は2023年8月27日までの期間限定で公開される。

前作『The Sin and the Sentence』から3年振りのリリースとなったTriviumの9枚目フルレングスは、これまでと同じRoadrunner Recordsから発売された。1999年のデビュー以来、オーバーグラウンド・メタルシーンを牽引し続けてきた彼ら。個人的にはやはりリアルタイムで衝撃を受けたアルバム『将軍 (Shogun)』のイメージのままであったが、以降もリリースがあればチェックしてきた。
ほとんどの楽曲がミュージックビデオになっているが、特に良いのがアルバムタイトルトラック「What The Dead Men Say」。数万人規模のスタジアムで鳴らされるようなメタルでありながらも、しっかり聴くとデスメタリックであり、オールドスクールなメタルコアだ。As I Lay Dyingを彷彿とさせる「The Defiant」など、幅広いメタルリスナーが楽しめるアルバムであり、コアなメタルリスナーも満足感が得られる1枚であると思う。

これは今の状況と時間を超えてリンクして、自分の中でより一層大事な曲になりました。

こちらも特段ニューリリースというわけではありませんが、昨今の情勢などをニュースで観て思い立ち聴き直しています。
実はベースラインも格好いい。

Soccer Mommy – Color Theory (2020)
2月にリリースされて以来、聴くものに困ったらコレです。
特にTr02 「Circle The Drain」はシングルリリースされてからずっとお気に入りで、決して前向きな歌詞ではないですが、毎日のどうしようもないことを「まあしょうがないか」と思えるようにしてくれる曲です。
