埼玉・熊谷出身のメタルコア・バンド”SENSE OF DEFEAT”、新曲「Paradigm Down」リリース!

2016年に埼玉・熊谷で結成されたメタルコア・バンド、SENSE OF DEFEATが、通算6枚目のシングル「Paradigm Down」のリリックビデオをアップロードしました。。ボーカリストToshi、ギタリストYuichi、ギター/コーラスRamirezからなる3人組の新曲は、胸に染み入るようなメロディとプログレッシヴ/アヴァンギャルドなテクニカルなギターリフが巧みに交差していく個性的な仕上がりとなっている。9月6日には東京・新宿ANTIKNOCKにてAlphoenix、SIERRA、細、Solve et Coagula、Atermon Phos を迎えリリース・ショウ「Past of Paradox」を成功させた。

シングルは9月8日に各種プラットフォームにて配信となる。

1999年から2019年までグルーヴメタル・レジェンド、Lamb of Godに在籍していたドラマー、Chris Adler (クリス・アドラー)が、新プロジェクト Shallow Rising でシーンにカムバックしている。この度、シングル「Further」のミュージックビデオが公開され、大きな話題となっている。Shallow RisingはChrisに加え、Taylor Brandt (Bass) 、Tim Ossenfort (Guitar)、Alex Villarreal (Vocals)という4人体制。これから続々と新情報が解禁されるはずだ、今からバンドをフォローしておこう。

メタルコア・バンド、Memphis May Fireが、4枚目となるニュー・シングル「Infection」をRise Recordsから発表しました。 ここ数ヶ月の間に、バンドは新曲「Chaotic」、「Paralyzed」、「Necessary Evil」を次々と発表しているが、これらの曲が次のアルバムに収録されるかどうかの最新情報は今の所ない。

ヴォーカルのMatty Mullinsはこの曲について次のように語っている。

「”Infection “は裏切りの痛みとウィルスのように広がる毒性を深く掘り下げているんだ。この曲は、自分の人生における破壊的な力を認識し、それを呼び起こし、自分の力を取り戻すことを歌っている。 それは単に感染から生き延びるということではなく、それを証明する傷跡とともに、より強くなることなのだ。 この曲は、利用され、操られていると感じることの激しさと、もはや誰かの毒の犠牲者にはならないという決意を表現しているよ」。

Memphis May Fire have premiered their fourth new single, “Infection” via Rise Records. Over the last few months, the band has previously shared the singles “Chaotic”, “Paralyzed” and “Necessary Evil”, but no current news if these tracks will be included on an upcoming album.

Vocalist Matty Mullins shared the following:

‘Infection’ dives deep into the pain of betrayal and the toxicity that can spread like a virus,” shares Mullins. “This song is about recognizing the destructive forces in your life, calling them out, and reclaiming your power. It’s not just about surviving the infection; it’s about emerging stronger, with the scars to prove it. This track captures the intensity of feeling used and manipulated, and the resolve to no longer be a victim to someone else’s venom.

ニューメタルコア・バンド、Lotus Eaterの元メンバーとして知られるCam Humphreyの新プロジェクト、Love is Noiseが、2025年2月15日にCentury Media Recordsからリリースされるデビュー・アルバム『To Live a Different Way』からのファースト・シングル「Take.One.Minute」をリリースしました。

Undeath、10月リリースのニュー・アルバム『More Insane』から新曲「Disputatious Malignancy」リリース

ニューヨークを拠点に活動するデスメタル・バンド、Undeath が、2024年10月4日にProsthetic Recordsよりリリースを予定しているニュー・アルバム『More Insane』からのセカンド・シングル「Disputatious Malignancy」をリリースしました。 このシングルは、Hayden Hallが監督とアニメーションを手がけたミュージックビデオとしても公開されている。

ボーカルのAlexander Jonesは、今回の新曲について次のように語っている。

「この曲は実は、アルバムのために書かれた最後の曲のひとつなんだ。 Markのスタジオでプリプロダクションをやっていたとき、ギタリストのKyleの携帯にすごくラフなデモが入っていて、彼がそれを聴いているのを耳にしたんだ。 テーマ的には、『Pierced From Within』時代のSuffocationのような雰囲気があって、歌詞的には「神や宗教なんてクソ食らえ」という曲に最も近かった。 この曲はクソ高速で、バウンシーで、キラー・デュエルの鳴き声のようなソロ・パートがあり、本当に気に入っているんだ」。

Undeathは9月7日からジャパンツアーをスタートさせる。チェックして公演に遊びにいこう。

プログレッシブ・デスメタル・デュオ、Entheosは、Metal Blade Recordsより10月25日にリリース予定のEP『An End To Everything』からの4曲目のシングル「A Thousand Days」をリリースしました。

ヴォーカルのChaney Crabbは次のように語ってい流。「”A Thousand Days”のリリックは、まるで生死の境をさまよっているかのような気持ちを歌っているんだ。”A Thousand Days”を書くにあたって、より “メロウ “なデスメタルの雰囲気に焦点を当て、同時にグランジの要素やコーラスでのピッチの高い叫びを取り入れたいと思った」。

Progressive death metal duo Entheos have shared their fourth single, “A Thousand Days”, from upcoming EP, An End To Everything, scheduled for release on October 25th through Metal Blade Records.

Vocalist Chaney Crabb shared the following:

Lyrically, ‘A Thousand Days’ is a song about feeling as if you’re on the edge of life and death. In writing ‘A Thousand Days,’ we wanted to focus on a more ‘mellow’ death metal vibe and simultaneously incorporate some elements of grunge and pitched screaming in the chorus.

Lamb of God と Mastodon、コラボ作品のTeaserを公開

日本でも絶大な人気を誇るメタルバンド、Lamb of GodとMastodonは、『Ashes of Leviathan』と『Leviathan』の20周年を記念した『Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan』ツアーを終えたばかりだ。Mastodonは、両バンドのコラボレーションが来週リリースされることを示唆するかのようなツイートをしている。9月20日には何かがリリースされる模様。見逃さないようにしよう。

Lamb of God and Mastodon recently wrapped up their “Ashes of Leviathan” tour, which found both bands celebrating 20 years of Ashes of the Wake and Leviathan every show performing the albums in full.

Last night, Mastodon tweeted what appears to hint at a collaboration between the two bands arriving next week.

2001 年にインディアナ州カーメルで結成されたメタルコア・バンド、Haste The Day (ヘイスト・ザ・デイ) は、10月に新曲をリリースし、待望の復活に向けて準備を進めていることが知られている。 2015年にリリースしたアルバム『Coward』以来、沈黙を守ってきた彼らは、2023年2月に正式に復活することを発表し、2024年8月、新しいスタジオ・アルバムの制作を進めていることを発表した。 来月には、そのアルバムからのファースト・シングルがリリースされる予定とのこと。彼らのソーシャルメディアをフォローしておこう!

Haste The Day are gearing up for their long-awaited return with new music set to drop in October. The Indiana metalcore outfit has been quiet since their 2015 album Coward, which preceded a hiatus that left the band inactive for years.

Last February, the group officially resurfaced, and just last month, they confirmed work on a new studio album. Fans can likely expect the first single from that record to hit next month.
