元 I Prevail のクリーン・ヴォーカリスト Brian Burkheiser が、新ソロ・プロジェクト Scatterbrain を正式にスタートさせた。第一弾として、Taylor Swift の “Look What You Made Me Do” をメタルにアレンジしたカバー楽曲およびミュージックビデオを公開している。
デスコア・バンド、Bound In Fear が、ニューシングル “Chasm” をリリースし、あわせてミュージックビデオを公開した。リリース日は2025年12月2日。所属レーベルは Unique Leader Records である。
ボーカルの Ben Mason はコメントで、本作について「“Chasm” は我々にとって大きな前進。コアなサウンドに新たな要素を融合させた自然な進化」と語っている。また歌詞面については、「これまで直面してきた苦悩から如何に生きるかを学ぶ過程」、そして「人生の不確かさを受け入れ、自分の“デーモン”と向き合うことの大切さ」がテーマだという。
Australian metalcore outfit Northlane has become a vanguard of heavy music across the globe through fearless evolution and unmatched innovation. Northlane’s trajectory over the years has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. The group found their footing with two of the most beloved 2010s djent records in ‘Discoveries’ (2011) and ‘Singularity’ (2013), and the subsequent induction of vocalist Marcus Bridge in 2014. ‘Node’ (2015) and ‘Mesmer’ (2017) found the outfit embracing huge choruses and unique textures, while also maintaining a steady throughline of proggy decadence.
Fast forward to 2019 with ‘Alien’, an album that ushered in a new era of reinvention for Northlane, shifting from ethereal progressive metalcore to a darker, wilder take on the genre. While their djent sensibilities remained, ‘Alien’ (2019) signaled a shift toward embracing their love for EDM, industrial, nu-metal, and beyond. 2022’s ‘Obsidian’ further cemented the band’s reputation for unflinching creativity, incorporating elements of trip hop and trance and serving up a sonic palette replete with textured synths, primal grooves, and ferocious riffs. Northlane followed the successes of ‘Obsidian’ with ‘Mirror’s Edge’ (2024), an album saturated with punchy verses and earworm choruses.
Coming off the release of ‘Node: Reloaded’ (2025), an album featuring reworked cuts from their influential 2015’s ‘Node’, Northlane brings a reimagined darkness and industrial edge to their Audiotree From Nothing performance. Playing songs from ‘Mirror’s Edge’ (2024), ‘Obsidian’ (2022), ‘Alien’ (2019), ‘Singularity’ (2013), and ‘Discoveries’ (2011), Northlane puts their past, present, and future on full display through chugging breakdowns, heavy guitar work, and a special guest feature from Thornhill’s Jacob Charlton. デスコア／ビートダウンハードコア・バンド Paleface Swiss が、ニューシングル Everything Is Fine の配信およびミュージックビデオ（MV）を公開した。
この“Everything Is Fine”は、バンドが2026年1月2日にリリースを予定しているEP The Wilted EP のクロージング・トラックとなっている。
ヴォーカルの Marc “Zelli” Zellweger によると、本曲は「変えられない状況に囚われた二人の恋人たち」の物語を描いており、不当な試練に傷つきながらも、痛みを麻痺させようとしてさらに傷ついていく──というテーマを持つという。なお、バンドは直近で、10月に “Let Me Sleep”、さらにチャリティ・シングル “Instrument Of War” を発表しており、“Everything Is Fine”はそれらに続く作品となる。
デスコア・バンド Slaughter To Prevail のボーカリスト Alex Terrible が、Falling In Reverse の 2025年シングル「God Is A Weapon」をカバーし、その映像を公開した。
このカバー作品は、Falling In Reverse のオリジナル曲の要素を保持しつつ、Alex Terrible らしいグロウルとヘヴィなアレンジを加えたものとなっている。映像は Alex Terrible の公式チャンネル等で視聴可能だ。彼は過去にも Falling In Reverse と共演歴があり、両バンドはツアーでともに回ったこともある。今回のカバーは、両者の関係性を再び示すものとして注目されている。
イギリス出身のプログレッシブメタル／mathcore バンド SikTh が、「Bland Street Bloom」のスタジオ・パフォーマンス映像を公開した。
この映像は、バンドの元来のメンバー（オリジナルラインナップ）が集結した初のスタジオ収録であり、2006年のアルバム『Death of a Dead Day』収録曲のオープナー「Bland Street Bloom」を披露している。録音場所はイギリス・ミルトンキーンズの Marshall Studios で、映像演出は Ali White が担当している。
ギタリスト Dan Weller は、久しぶりの再結集について「オリジナルラインナップで同じ部屋にいるのは特別な体験だった。炎は戻った。来年には未完だったビジネスに決着をつけたい」と述べており、バンドの再始動に強い意欲を示している。
この発表は、2026年2月に予定されている『Death of a Dead Day』20周年記念ライヴ（マンチェスター／ロンドン公演）に向けた予告とも受け止められており、ファンの注目が集まっている。

イギリス出身のメタルバンド Sylosis が、7作目のスタジオ・アルバム『The New Flesh』を 2026年2月20日に Nuclear Blast Records からリリースすることを発表した。あわせて、同名の表題曲「The New Flesh」のミュージックビデオと配信も公開された。
