It’s the sound of gothic era classical music fused at the lungs with furious vocals, pummeling drums, razor sharp guitar riffs, infernal orchestral composing, and wicked sound design. If someone tried stopping this track from playing, ‘Unwelcome Return’ would eviscerate anything standing in its way.”
スクリーモ/ポストハードコア・バンド、Saosin (セイオシン) が2曲の新しいライブ・カバー曲をビデオとして公開しました。Anthony Greenをフィーチャーした最初のカヴァーは、Sunny Day Real Estateの「Seven」の演奏であり、Cove Reberをフィーチャーした2つ目のカヴァーは、Blindsideの「Pitiful」のヴァージョンである。
両カバーは、2024年6月17日と18日にレコーディングされたライヴ・アルバム『Live at The Garden Amphitheater』の一部で、2024年7月19日にBorn Losers Recordsからリリースされる。バンドはまた、今月末から14年ぶりにCove Reberとともに全米ツアーを行う予定だ。
ノルウェーのブラックメタル・バンド、Mayhemが「Deathcrush」のライヴ映像を公開しました。この映像は、バンドのライヴアルバム『Daemonic Rites』からのもの。12 Inch Mediaがこの映像の監督を務めた。今月、バンドには2つの40周年記念公演が待っている。5月10日と11日、ノルウェー・オスロのSentrum Sceneで40周年記念公演を行う。
プラチナ認定されているメロディック・メタルコア・バンド、All That Remains (オール・ザット・リメインズ)が新曲「Divine」をリリースしました。マサチューセッツ州スプリングフィールドを拠点とするAll That Remainsの、2018年以来の新曲となるこの曲は、すでに完成している10枚目のスタジオ・アルバムからの先行シングルだ。これらのレコーディング・セッションは、プロデューサーのJosh Wilbur (ジョシュ・ウィルバー)（Lamb Of God、Gojiraを担当）と行われた。
Anthony Barone (アンソニー・バローン)は、Jason Costa (ジェイソン・コスタ)の後任としてドラムを担当しており、この作品ではバンドとの初共演となる。この新曲について、ヴォーカルのPhil Labonte (フィル・ラボンテ)はこうコメントしている：

Slipknotが、元SepulturaのEloy Casagrandeをバンドの新ドラマーとして正式に発表しました。前ドラマーのJay Weinbergに続き、EloyもSepulturaからの脱退を発表している。Slipknotはヘッドライナーを務めたフェスティバル「Sick New World」でEloyのデビューライブを開催し、ファンからは歓迎されていた。そして4月30日（火）、バンドは以下の投稿をシェアした。
